# Get Card Transaction
> Retrieve a single card transaction by id. GET /cards/{id}/transactions/{txnId}. Requires cards:read scope.
## Overview
Returns a single card-to-merchant transaction by its transaction id, scoped to a card your business owns. Use this to fetch the full detail of one transaction you already have the id for (e.g. from a webhook or from `GET /cards/{id}/transactions`).
The transaction must belong to the card in the path. A transaction id that exists but belongs to a different card returns `TRANSACTION_NOT_FOUND` — you can't read another card's transactions through a card you own.
## Path Parameters

## Transaction Object
Identical to the objects in `GET /cards/{id}/transactions`:

| `amount` | number | Transaction amount in card currency |
| `feeAmount` | number | Network fee charged (if any) |
| `currency` | string | Transaction currency (e.g. `USD`) |
| `merchant` | object | Merchant details — present for purchase transactions (`name`, `id`, `city`, `country`, `mcc`, `mccCategory`) |
| `memo` | string | Transaction memo or description |
| `isSettled` | boolean | Whether the transaction has cleared |
| `wasReversed` | boolean | Whether the transaction was reversed |
| `createdAt` | string | Transaction timestamp (ISO 8601) |

## Error Codes
| Code | HTTP | Cause |
| ----------------------- | ---- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `TRANSACTION_NOT_FOUND` | 404 | No such transaction, or it belongs to a different card |
| `CARD_NOT_FOUND` | 404 | Card does not exist or belongs to another business/environment |
| `PROVIDER_ERROR` | 500 | Card network unavailable — retry with exponential back-off |
| `INSUFFICIENT_SCOPE` | 403 | Key lacks `cards:read` scope |
